The cover scream bland don't you think. It looks so boring. Fortunately, the inside offers much, much more.

At first, I was introduced to the main character, Sage. He seems ordinary enough with a few parlour trick. He's an orphan, often skipping from one orphanage to another because of his insufferable attitude. Then, came Connor in the picture. Connor is one of those little people who want to succeed in life, so he attempted treason and want to be a puppet master of the future king. He was the one who murdered the royal family and also attempted to murder Prince Jaron.

His plan was to find anybody who resemble Jaron and pass him off as the prince where he could simply pull the strings to control the whole country. He pit three boys to earn his approval of being 'his' prince.

FYI, Sage is Prince Jaron. He was disown by his father. His father did not actually disown him. He was actually trying to protect his son from being murdered as well because he already suspected there's a traitor inside the castle. I did guess that Sage is Jaron but I thought he was amnesiac or something.

Well, he managed to snag the crown in his own term and send Connor rotting in the dungeon. Happily ever after right? *press buzzer* WRONG!

His kingdom is in the brink of a war, his family is dead and the princess he's suppose to marry hates his gut albeit he is not remotely in love with her.

I know this review is half-assed. If I save it for later, I might not do it at all.  What I learned from here is 'you do not reveal everything you know'. Plus, if you wanna be a bad guy, just please, don't brag. It'll be your downfall.
